The Importance of Fire Safety Training

If you’re a property owner or manage or control commercial property, you are required by law to protect everyone who lives in, works within and visits your premises from the threat of a fire as far as is possible. The best way to address this is by assessing the risks and hazards present within the environment. Once the risks and hazards are identified it should be your main priority to install the appropriate fire safety measures accordingly, such as fire alarm systems including sprinklers, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.

It shouldn’t stop there. Here at Crownford we believe it is hugely beneficial to provide fire safety training for your employees. This will ensure that your employees have the knowledge to respond in a safe manner, effectively and controlled in an emergency.

What is fire safety training?

If the worse did happen the highest priority is to get everybody out of the building as quickly as possible in an effective order.  Here at Crownford we can provide Fire Awareness Training and Fire Marshall training to help if such a thing did occur within your business.

Fire Safety Awareness Training

Basic Fire Safety Awareness training is developed to equip you with all the basic skills and knowledge required in the event of a fire, such as what to do if you discover a fire, locating and using extinguishers and evacuation routes, and the best way to deal with vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and disabled. Both courses are run at our premises here in South Wales or we can arrange to do the course at your desired location.

Fire Warden Training

Fire Warden Training covers all the aspects of Basic Fire Safety Awareness but additionally deals with undertaking the role of Fire Warden within your environment. Therefore, they will learn about the responsibilities and duties associated with the role and will receive practical knowledge about undertaking efficient and orderly evacuations.

So if you would like to protect your employees please don’t hesitate to book your training course today. Our spaces are limited we operate on a first come first served basis.

Happy Training.
